Real name: Lord Markiloz Maximus "Bogovski" Ferdo Farquaad
Nick name: Lord Farquaad
On the planet Orinion, Lord Markiloz Maximus "Bogovski" Ferdo Farquaad rules as the ruler of Duloc City.
As a king, Farquaad spent the majority of his time hunting down magical beings in order to locate the magic mirror. When he did, he questioned the mirror about whether the kingdom of Orinion he ruled, Duloc City, was the most ideal. He attempted to marry Fiona in order to become king, but this was unsuccessful only because he was not a king and Duloc was not a kingdom.
III. Lord Farquaad Personal Life
Date of Birth: 28th of January, 1451
Birth Place: Orinion
Hobbies: capturing fairytale creatures
All of the mythical creatures were exiled from Farquaad's kingdom and were forced to seek safety in Shrek's swamp. Back at his castle, Farquaad tortures Gingy until she tells him where the other fairytale characters are that he hasn't yet been able to either capture or exile. The guards captain shows up just as Gingy is about to reveal what he knows and declares that they have located the Magic Mirror. Lord Farquaad asks the mirror if Duloc is the most ideal kingdom after swallowing Gingy whole. Since he is not a member of the royal family, the magic mirror informs him that he is not really a king, but he can become one by wedlocking a princess.
The mirror introduces Farquaad to three different princesses: Cinderella, Snow White, and Princess Fiona, in a parody of dating programs. Farquaad picks Princess Fiona, who is imprisoned in a castle tower watched over by a vicious dragon, based on advice from his henchmen. Lord Farquaad decides to organize a competition to determine which knight will be deserving enough to set out on a mission to rescue Fiona, in spite of the mirror's efforts to warn him about what happens at midnight.
Lord Farquaad's past:
It is revealed in a scene that a young Greedo sexually assaulted him as a child because he thought Farqauaad was cheating in a WWE match and had to pay the price. Farquaad fled after being harassed and scared as Raiden broke up the fight. When he told Greedo to stop "touching Farquaad on his dik and as and stop spanking him," Greedo agreed and promised to stop his lewd behavior and enroll in an "anti-fapping school." Greedo finished the "school," stopped acting like a pervert, and began living like an educated person. Finally, Farquaad was left unattended.

V. Lord Farquaad Personality & Traits
Farquaad is Duloc City's villainous, callous, rapacious, evil, snappish, egotistical, and iron-fisted ruler. He is a communist dictator who only cares about himself, is very egotistical, oppressive, and power-hungry. Farquaad was a villain, but despite this, he didn't view himself as a monster, and when Gingy brought this up to him, he immediately dismissed it and even went so far as to call him and the other fairytale creatures monsters, which makes him wholly xenophobic, contemptuous, and individualistic. Farquaad also had a Napoleon Complex and felt the need to be overly domineering, authoritative, and controlling in order to make up for his comical stature. In addition, his own face is painted on the town of Duloc, confirming his blatant narcissism, and Farquaad is depicted in a portrait as being taller than the dragon that killed Fiona in another instance.
Farquaad is a heartless, inflexible socialist who believes that everything must be done according to his standards and that the only way for Duloc to achieve perfection is by banishing all mythical creatures and establishing equality for all people. Farquaad's sole ambition was to establish himself as the legitimate ruler and king of Duloc. Ironically, communism opposes monarchies because they are distinct ideologies, much like the Kahn Family's monarchical rule over the socialist Outworld.Another ironic characteristic is that despite communism's emphasis on equality, Farquaad still believes that all mythical creatures, including ogres, are less deserving than Orinionians as a whole. The only reason Farquaad chose to wed Fiona was out of pure lust for power and with little to no love in his heart because in order to truly become a king, he needed a princess. Farquaad is also very manipulative and sadistic, as shown when he severed Gingy's dik and continued to taunt him while torturing him.

Fiona is described in the beginning as a lovely princess who is subject to a curse that turns her into an ogre at night. She sets out to kiss a prince in order to break the spell, but instead she meets and falls in love with an ogre named Shrek. She introduces her new husband Shrek to her parents in Shrek 2 (2004), gives birth to a child in Shrek the Third (2007), and transforms into a strong warrior in Shrek Forever After (2010), much of which takes place in an alternate reality in which Fiona and Shrek never meet. Subsequent movies further explore the character's history and relationships with other characters.

She was saved by Shrek rather than Prince Charming due to Rumpelstiltskin's desire to pursue Fiona, and her rescue stopped Rumpelstiltskin from convincing Fiona's parents, King Harold and Queen Lillian, to sign over Far Far Away. In essence, he is to blame for these films.
Only Farquaad, the series' primary antagonist, receives a significant amount of screen time.
The Indian Removal Act of 1830, which President Andrew Jackson signed into law, and Farquaad's removal of fairytale figures are analogous.
Notably, Farquaad is the only antagonist who is an original creation and not based on any known fairytale villain.
