About Sociosite

Sociosite is a reference site about celebrity body statistics and IQ. We publish two things: side-by-side height, weight and age comparisons for public figures, and plain-language guides to IQ scores — what a given score band actually means, how the tests are built, and what is publicly claimed about the IQs of well-known people.

The site is owned and operated by AlphaIQ Co., Ltd. We are a small independent publishing team. We are not affiliated with any university, testing body, psychometric association, or with any of the people profiled on this site.

How we compile our data

Body measurements come from publicly listed sources: official studio, agency, league or federation profiles; sports and film databases; and figures the person has stated themselves in interviews. Where sources disagree, we use the most frequently listed figure and note the range. Every profile carries a last-updated date, because height stays fixed but weight and age do not.

IQ figures for named individuals are almost never the result of a verified, supervised test. Where a number is an estimate, a media claim, or an unverified report, we say so on the page rather than presenting it as a measured score. Profiles of fictional characters are labelled as fiction; their figures come from canon material or production notes, not from real measurement.

Corrections

We would rather be corrected than be wrong. If a figure on this site is out of date or inaccurate — especially if the page is about you — write to us at [email protected] with a source, and we will update or remove it. See our contact page for what to include.

How the site is funded

Sociosite is free to read and funded by display advertising. Advertising has no influence on which people we profile or on the figures we publish. Details of the cookies and ad partners involved are in our privacy policy.

The SocioSite Project

Internet is rapidly transforming the production, distribution, and consumption of knowledge and information. Information is made available in electronic formats and through differing network applications. The information is expanding at a very fast growing rate. The latest sociological research finds its way onto the internet long before it reaches print or other traditional media. All social scientists have to come to terms with the internet and its digital resources.

SocioSite is designed to get access to information and resources which are relevant for sociologists and other social scientists. It has been designed from a global point of view — it gives access to the world wide scene of social sciences. The intention is to provide a comprehensive listing of all sociology resources on the internet. The enormity and constantly changing nature of the internet makes it impossible to develop a definitive and comprehensive listing. That’s why the SocioSite will always be «under construction».

We present the resources and information that are important for the international sociological scene. It links students of sociology to many interesting, sociologically relevant locations in cyberspace. SocioSite is a comprehensive information system which is very easy to use. That is why it has become a very popular yellow guide for social scientists from all over the world. SocioSite is a toolkit for us social scientists. It contains high quality resources and texts that can be used as wheels for the sociological mind.

SocioSite can only stay a useful instrument for all social scientists in different fields of sociological study when we join our forces. So please don’t hesitate to:

- Correct us where we are wrong;

- Give additions where we are incomplete;

- Make suggestions for improvement;

- Make your own contributions for a more powerful instrument.

It took many hours to make the SocioSite what it is today. It will take many more efforts to keep this site what it was meant to be: an accurate and comprehensive information system of the social sciences. We want the SocioSite to include high quality resources and texts from all sociological fields, from all countries and in any language. If you would like to participate in the network of correspondents for the SocioSite please contact us at [email protected].
